Yes, you can come for a vacation
to Thailand and return home looking and feeling
rejuvenated and refreshed. When your friends comment
that your holiday has taken years off your appearance,
no one here will tell.
Dr. Chartchai understands it
is inconvenient, time-consuming and expensive
for patients outside of Thailand to fly to Bangkok
for an in
person consultation and return a few weeks
later for surgery.
A procedure has been designed
to make your planning and experience from start
to end one of information, quick response, direct
answers to your questions, and knowledge that
you are in the best hands.
To be an international
patient of Dr. Chartchai, you may contact
our surgery
travel planner who will give you the personal
attention, time, and privacy that traveling patients
often prefer and need. Or you may book
your consultation or book
your surgery directly on this website.
Preparation and planning with
the assistance and support of a medical
concierge or international patient manager
is recommended to help you through all the stages
of your surgery.
How it works
-
Make contact
The first step is to call or email
Dr. Chartchai with your request.
-
Provide photos
If you have a special concern or question, you
may submit photos together with your inquiry.
Otherwise, we will request photos at a later
date.
-
Obtain an assessment
Dr. Chartchai will assess your request and if
you are a good candidate for surgery procedures,
you will receive information about your procedure(s)
and costs, and answers to questions you have.
If you are a traveling patient [link to international
patient care], you will additionally receive
information about accommodations and related
concerns.
-
Schedule your procedure
Book your surgery
date as much in advance as possible and
at least 3 weeks ahead of time. A deposit is
usually required to reserve your surgery date.
The remaining balance is due immediately after
your in-person consultation in Bangkok Thailand.
You will receive pre-surgery
instructions which you must carefully follow.
-
Travel to Bangkok, Thailand
For traveling patients, the new Bangkok international
airport is Suvarnabumi (BKK). Your hotel and
hospital are located approximately 35 minutes
from the airport. 30-day transit visas for citizens
of most countries are issued at the airport
upon arrival. For a longer stay, Americans,
British Commonwealth citizens, and most Europeans
may get a 60-day tourist visa from any Thai
Embassy before they embark on their trip.
No special vaccinations are required.
-
Arrive for consultation and
surgery
Dr. Chartchai and the hospital do not book accommodations
for you. You may book them yourself or ask your
medical
concierge to book them. You MUST arrive
1-2 days prior to your surgery date. At a designated
time during this period you will meet with your
doctor (s) for an in depth consultation, discussing
all procedures. If you have any questions please
contact
us.
If you are a Bangkok resident, you will have
a consultation with Dr. Chartchai at least 2
weeks prior to your surgery date.
-
Recover
Dr. Chartchai expects all patients who fly in
for surgery to spend one or 2 nights post-surgery
at the hospital thus ensuring continuing medical
attention as needed.
In the days after
surgery he will see you post-operatively and
depending upon the procedures that have been performed
you may return home 5-12 days later.
Your health and safety remain
our number one priority. Dr. Chartchai will prepare
a medical clearance or Fit-to-Fly certificate
at the time of discharge if required. In the event
that you require medical attention after returning
home, your medical
concierge will assist in referring you to
a local physician as needed.
Contact our medical
concierge . We look forward to meeting you
and helping you make your dream a reality.
